Mr. John Randolph
I am honored to serve as the Principal at Round Lake Middle School and am excited to continue inspiring and empowering students to construct a thriving future. District 116 is where my heart has found its place among dedicated educators and staff, valued students, and a wonderful community, all of whom want nothing but the best for our students.
Education is my second career. After I graduated high school, I joined the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. I moved to Illinois and was an automotive technician, where I restored vintage Jaguars and worked for Mercedes-Benz as a systems technician. I loved what I did but found that education was my true calling.
Here at Round Lake Middle, our passion is education. We recognize the vast potential within each and every student that passes through our doors and are committed to their success. Together, anything is possible.
I am honored to be teaming up with an incredible staff that all have the talent, love, and dedication to ensure our students receive the best educational experience possible and are prepared for high school and beyond. I look forward to meeting new families and friends and continuing to work with the incredible community that is Round Lake.

Me mudé a Illinois y trabajé como técnico automotriz, restaurando automóviles Jaguar clásicos y desempeñándome como técnico de sistemas para Mercedes-Benz. Aunque disfrutaba de mi trabajo, descubrí que la educación era mi verdadera vocación.

I am excited to continue serving the Round Lake Middle School community as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction. It is a privilege to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students each day. Together, we are committed to creating a school where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
My passion is helping both students and staff grow. Whether supporting high-quality instruction, celebrating student success, or collaborating with staff to strengthen teaching and learning, I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a successful school. Middle school is an important time in a child's life, and I am committed to ensuring that every student has the academic support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Before joining the administrative team at Round Lake Middle School, I taught high school mathematics and served as an Assistant Principal of Student Services. I earned a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Carroll University and master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Administration from Concordia University. These experiences continue to shape my commitment to lifelong learning and continuous improvement.
At Round Lake Middle School, we believe that success is built through collaboration. By working together with students, families, and staff, we can create a positive school culture where everyone feels connected, valued, and empowered to learn. Estoy emocionada de continuar sirviendo a la comunidad de la Escuela Secundaria Round Lake como Subdirectora de Currículo e Instrucción. Es un privilegio trabajar junto a nuestro personal dedicado, familias solidarias y estudiantes increíbles cada día. Juntos, estamos comprometidos a crear una escuela donde cada estudiante se sienta apoyado, desafiado e inspirado para alcanzar su máximo potencial.
Mi pasión es ayudar a crecer tanto a los estudiantes como al personal. Ya sea apoyando una instrucción de alta calidad, celebrando el éxito de los estudiantes o colaborando con el personal para fortalecer la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, creo que las relaciones sólidas son la base de una escuela exitosa. La escuela secundaria es un momento importante en la vida de un niño y estoy comprometida a garantizar que cada estudiante tenga el apoyo académico, el estímulo y las oportunidades que necesita para tener éxito.
Antes de unirme al equipo administrativo de la escuela secundaria Round Lake, enseñé matemáticas en la escuela secundaria y me desempeñé como Subdirectora de Servicios Estudiantiles. Obtuve una licenciatura en Matemáticas de la Universidad Carroll y una maestría en Currículo e Instrucción y Administración Educativa de la Universidad Concordia. Estas experiencias continúan dando forma a mi compromiso con el aprendizaje permanente y la mejora continua.

Mr. Nicholas Pegarsch
Welcome Wildcats!
I am the Assistant Principal of Student Services here at Round Lake Middle School. Prior to coming to RLMS, I was the Multilingual Learners Department Chair, a wrestling coach, and the sponsor of the Black Student Union at Magee Middle School. Before switching to middle school, I was a Social Studies ESL teacher at Round Lake High School for seven years. I have been working in the Round Lake School district for well over a decade now.
I earned my Masters and Bachelors degrees from Northeastern Illinois University. I also earned an Associates degree from McHenry County College. I am a lifelong learner, particularly interested in political science, history, and language acquisition and policy.
I have two children that attend Big Hollow schools and an awesome wife that works as a Speech Pathologist at a high school in Palatine. We enjoy road tripping, going to the beach, and boating in the summer time.
I am dedicated to serving the Round Lake community and I am always eager to learn a lot about our students. I look forward to another awesome school year!

¡Bienvenidos, Wildcats!
Soy el Subdirector de Servicios Estudiantiles aquí en la Escuela Secundaria Round Lake. Antes de llegar a RLMS, fui Jefe del Departamento de Estudiantes Multilingües, entrenador de lucha libre y asesor de la Asociación de Estudiantes Afroamericanos (Black Student Union) en la Escuela Secundaria Magee. Antes de mi transición al nivel de secundaria, trabajé durante siete años como maestro de estudios sociales y de ESL (inglés como segundo idioma) en la Escuela Preparatoria de Round Lake. Llevo más de una década trabajando en el Distrito Escolar de Round Lake.
Obtuve mis títulos de licenciatura y maestría en Northeastern Illinois University, además de un título de asociado en McHenry County College. Me considero un aprendiz constante, con un interés especial en las ciencias políticas, la historia, así como en la adquisición de idiomas y las políticas lingüísticas.
Tengo dos hijos que asisten a las escuelas de Big Hollow y una esposa maravillosa que trabaja como patóloga del habla en una escuela preparatoria de Palatine. En verano, disfrutamos hacer viajes por carretera, ir a la playa y pasear en bote.
Estoy comprometido a servir a la comunidad de Round Lake y siempre tengo mucho interés en conocer a fondo a nuestros estudiantes. ¡Espero con ilusión otro año escolar fantástico!
